What is Permanent Jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is essentially a clasp less bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is custom fit just for you. The ends of the chain are joined together by welding them or ‘zapping’ them together with the intention of never taking it off.
Does it hurt when you weld the chain?
Not at all. The process is completely pain-free, so you will not feel a thing. We use a small, specially designed-welder to apply the weld. It makes a soft popping sound with a quick flash of light, and you are all set!
What metal is the chain made of?
We carry an assortment of chains that are made of .925 Sterling Silver, 14K gold filled, 14K rose gold filled, as well as 14K solid yellow gold and white gold. All of our chains are nickel and lead-free.
Can I shower in my permanent jewelry?
Absolutely! Each chain is made from quality metal making it perfectly safe to shower in.
How about swimming?
YES! Swimming is totally fine! We do recommend a quick rinse with mild soap & water if you swim in chlorine or salt water. It’s not recommended that your jewelry be exposed to hot tubs, sulphuric springs, or improperly balanced pools.
How do I clean my permanent jewelry?
We use quality metal, so while it needs little maintenance, an occasional quick scrub with a soft toothbrush and hand soap is all that is necessary to restore your chain’s luster. If you notice it looks dull from lotion, oil, or sunscreen, this is all needed to get it back in business! Charms can also be cleaned this way. We also provide polishing cloths at your appointment which is a great option as well!
How long do the chains last?
With proper care, they’ll last as long as you want to wear them. If you decide you no longer want to wear them, they can easily be removed at home. Please note that permanent jewelry is not indestructible and should be handled like any other fine jewelry. If your chain is pulled off & broken, we are happy to re-weld it for you as long as it’s not stretched.
What if I need to temporarily need to remove my bracelet?
We understand that things come up. We connect the ends of the chain with a small jump ring. If you need to remove your jewelry it can easily be done at home in seconds using scissors, small pliers, or even nail clippers. Simply cut the ring that attaches the chain together to ensure the cleanest look and once it’s off, SAVE YOUR CHAIN. We can re-weld it back on for a small fee of $10 whenever you’re ready.
Keep in mind that you may be required to remove your jewelry during medical procedures such as X-Rays or MRIs. Consult your doctor as to whether or not this will be required.
Why do you only use dainty chains for permanent jewelry?
There are a number of factors that go into our selection of chains. First and foremost: SAFETY! If you catch your wrist on something, it’s necessary that the bracelet break before causing injury directly to you. Secondly, a dainty chain is comfortable to wear. You’ll barely feel it/them so they make an awesome permanent option. Lastly, they are versatile. Giving you the option to wear them alone or to add with other accessories. Either way, they won’t compete with other options you like to switch up daily.
What if my chain breaks?
No need to worry - We’ve got you covered. Our delicate chains are chosen for their minimalist design and ease of everyday wear. In the rare case that your jewelry was to break, we will do our best to repair it for you. Please note, we are not liable for lost chains.
Can I get through TSA with my permanent jewelry on?
Travelers can wear real gold or silver jewelry through airport security without any issues, and you will not be required to remove it.
Do I need an appointment?
Permanent jewelry is currently only offered by appointment during local community events/pop-ups. You can easily schedule a day/time through our booking link. If you are interested in a private group event at a location of your choice, we do require a minimum of 5 or more people. Please check our social pages, and events section, to find out where we will be!
I want to book but do not have 5 people.
We ask that the smaller party be willing to purchase 5 pieces of jewelry, which is the same amount that a standard party would purchase.
